By booking services or purchasing products from The Decorated Porch, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Nature of Services

The Decorated Porch provides seasonal porch styling services, which may include:

  • Design consultation

  • Delivery of décor items

  • Professional installation

  • Optional add-on décor products

All services are custom, time-specific, and season-based.

2. Seasonal & Custom Services – All Sales Are Final

Because our services are:

  • Seasonal

  • Custom-styled

  • Installed for a specific event or holiday

  • Reserved for a specific date and time

👉 ALL SERVICE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-RETURNABLE.

Once a service is booked, we reserve inventory, labor, and scheduling specifically for you. These resources cannot be reassigned after the season has passed.

3. Décor Items Provided as Part of a Service

Décor items used in your installation may include wreaths, planters, urn fillers, lanterns, mats, signage, bows, and other seasonal elements.

Important:

  • Décor items provided as part of a service are NOT rentals

  • They are NOT returnable after the season

  • They may not be exchanged for cash, credit, or future services

Once installed, ownership transfers to the client, and items are considered used.

4. Add-On Products (Purchased Separately)

Add-on products purchased separately from services are also subject to the following:

  • All sales are final

  • No returns or exchanges once delivered or installed (see limited exception for defective items below)

  • No refunds for change of mind, seasonal expiration, or personal preference

5. Style & Product Variations

We strive to deliver a cohesive, high-quality aesthetic. However:

  • Specific items (wreath styles, florals, lanterns, urn fillers, etc.) may vary based on availability

  • Colors, textures, and designs will remain within the agreed seasonal theme

  • Exact duplication of photos or prior installations is not guaranteed

This flexibility allows us to maintain quality despite supply-chain changes.

Defective Items Policy (Limited Exception)

In the rare event that a décor item provided as part of a service or purchased as an add-on arrives materially defective (for example, broken upon installation or non-functional), the following applies:

  • Defects must be reported within 48 hours of installation or delivery

  • The defect must be documented with clear photographs

  • Normal variations, wear, weather exposure, or aesthetic preferences do not qualify as defects

Resolution

If an item is confirmed to be defective:

  • The Decorated Porch™ will, at its discretion, replace the item with a similar or comparable item, subject to availability

  • We will handle any vendor-related defect claims directly on the client’s behalf

Important Clarifications

  • Defective items are not eligible for cash refunds or credits

  • Replacement is the sole remedy

  • Items are not returnable after the season or after use

  • Vendor timelines and availability may affect replacement timing

  • Vendor warranties and policies apply, and timelines are determined by the vendor

The Decorated Porch is not responsible for vendor processing times or vendor denial of defect claims.

6. Installation & Property Access

By booking a service, you confirm:

  • Safe and unobstructed access to your porch/property

  • Permission for our team to enter the property for installation and removal (if applicable)

  • That pets are secured during service times

We are not responsible for delays caused by inaccessible properties.

7. Weather Policy

Services are performed rain or shine unless weather conditions are unsafe.

  • No refunds due to rain, wind, or typical Pacific Northwest weather

  • Severe conditions may result in rescheduling at our discretion

8. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Client-Initiated Cancellations

  • No refunds once a booking is confirmed

  • Cancellations do not result in credit or future service

Rescheduling

  • Requests must be made at least 72 hours in advance

  • Subject to availability

  • Rescheduling is not guaranteed during peak seasons

9. Damage, Wear & Outdoor Use

Décor is intended for outdoor display and may experience:

  • Natural fading

  • Weather exposure

  • Normal wear

We are not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Weather

  • Wildlife

  • Theft

  • Vandalism

  • Third-party interference

10. Photography & Marketing

We reserve the right to photograph completed installations for:

  • Website

  • Social media

  • Marketing materials

No personal identifying information will be shared without consent.

11. Liability Disclaimer

The Decorated Porch takes great care in the professional installation of all décor. However, once installation is complete, the client assumes full responsibility for the décor and its presence on the property.

Post-Installation Liability

We are not responsible for:

  • Injuries, accidents, or damages occurring after installation

  • Slip, trip, or fall incidents involving décor

  • Damage resulting from client interaction, relocation, or modification of décor

  • Damage caused by guests, children, pets, delivery personnel, or third parties

Property & Structural Conditions

We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing structural issues, including but not limited to loose railings, uneven steps, rotting wood, unstable masonry, or weak mounting surfaces

  • Damage caused by hidden defects in the property

Weather, Environment & Wildlife

We are not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Rain, wind, snow, heat, sun exposure, or storms

  • Wildlife, insects, or pets

  • Natural fading, wear, or weather-related deterioration

Electrical Components (If Applicable)

If lighting or electrical elements are included:

  • Client assumes responsibility for electrical outlets and power sources

  • We are not responsible for electrical malfunctions, power failures, or damage related to timers, extension cords, or outlets

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays, damages, or inability to perform services due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, power outages, government restrictions, or emergencies.

Acknowledgment of Risk

By booking services, the client acknowledges the inherent risks associated with outdoor décor installations and agrees to hold The Decorated Porch harmless from any claims arising after installation. Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Decorated Porch from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the use or presence of décor after installation.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a service or purchasing products, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

  • You agree to all policies stated above

  • You understand that seasonal décor services are final and non-refundable
